Travel Consultant (Junior): Part-time
DEPARTMENT: Operations
LOCATION: Hybrid / London Office – 2 days per week
REPORTS TO: Team Lead
ROLE PURPOSE:
This team service a wide variety of clients, from leisure, to corporate, to VIP and therefore offers a great opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in the travel industry. The Junior Travel Consultant will support the team with the client portfolio, servicing travel requests with exceptional levels of care and attention and completing tasks to ensure the whole client journey is seamless.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing all clients with timely and invaluable service for their travel needs
- Creating travel itineraries, including flights, hotels, cars and other ancillaries
- Use of the GDS (Travelport)
- Searching other suppliers for the most suitable options
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Working with internal teams to enhance the full client experience with ISON
- Completing associated admin accurately and on time so both client and ISON expectations are met
- Undertake additional tasks as required, which may or may not be directly related to the primary obligations but contribute to the overall efficiency of operations and client experience
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the travel industry
- Experience using a GDS, preferably Travelport/Galileo
- Experience building travel itineraries, including hotels, cars and other ancillaries
- Understanding of mid-office (invoicing) systems, preferably ProTAS
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Diligent, reliable & self-motivated
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Good European and US geography knowledge
- Familiarity with travel booking tools and corporate travel management systems.
- Experienced in using consolidators for air, hotel and car reservations
- Experienced in net and published fares, including NDC
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Proficient in MS Teams and Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
