As we come to the end of 2023 I wanted to write and thank you for being an ISON Travel customer this year. It has been quite a year for us as we have continued to grow and expanded our offering of private, corporate, marine and groups travel to include ISON Events as well as opening our office in Dubai and scaling up the teams in India and the Philippines enabling us to offer a truly 24/7 service for you.

We have been busy behind the scenes implementing new technology and automating processes so that we can continue to provide you with everything you need when you are travelling as well as managing and booking travel. This includes a new data analytics tool that will provide a rich suite of reports to help you manage both your travel spend and your carbon footprint.

Our efforts have been recognised with a number of awards including the Dynamic Awards “Company of the Year”. Personally, I was honoured and humbled to be awarded the everywoman “Woman of the Year 2023” last week for my success in steering ISON Travel through the pandemic and subsequently growing our turnover by 400%.

I would love to keep in touch with you in 2024 as we have some exciting developments in the works so I plan to email you occasionally with updates and top tips that you might find useful. The first of these are below and have been written by our travel consultants and might be useful reading for anyone who books travel.

It just remains for me to wish you a joyful holiday period and an incredibly Happy New Year.

Warmest wishes,

Top Travel Tips

The ISON family of experts would like to share some travel tips to help make your job easier when booking travel. We believe that the travel booker often has the hardest job being stuck in the middle. So let us help you to make your job simpler. After all, that’s what we are here for.

1. Do not assume that your travellers name is the same as that on their passport.

2. Make sure their passports have at least 6months validity – for European travel as well as international.

3. Be as specific as possible with what you want or if you are completely flexible tell us that.

4. NEVER SIGN ANYTHING IN A LANGUAGE YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND – particularly for car hire. Desk agents are the very devil for upselling and adding insurances which ARE ALREADY INCLUDED! If you are not sure what is included, call us anytime, day or night, and we will check for you. It is easier and quicker to do that, than to fight for a refund – especially if something has been signed for.

5. If you have a hotel reservation that is being paid by ISON Travel make sure that your traveller downloads the Confermapay App. Hotel systems are not the best at showing their receptionist that the bill will be charged to ISON Travel and if this is questioned at check-in, your traveller just needs to show the virtual card in the app as evidence that payment has been set up.

6. If you are planning an event in 2024, consider using a specialist from ISON Events.
